The house is heated by a combination of convection and storage heaters. There are additional electric heaters for use if required, as well as the coal fire in the living room. Please note that coal is not provided as part of the rental, but there is information about where to purchase coal at the house.
Hot water is provided by an immersion heater, but the coal fire is an alternative way of heating the water.
Electricity is paid for with a token meter. Average weekly electricity cost is around £15-20 in summer and around £25-30 in winter depending on your electricity usage.
We no longer offer bed linen or towels, but they can be rented on the island by contacting Fiona MacInnes at Letts Clean on 01879 220045 or 07733 323587.
